Sophia looks nowhere close to Hispanic. Blue-eyed Hispanics are a rarity plus the hair and skin color are too bright for her to even be considered part-Hispanic. You should actually know what you're talking about before you open your mouth. I guess my blond blue eyed pale Mexican family are not Mex...

I'd rather see the Titanic built as an actual hotel you can stay in as opposed to an exhibit.Except unlike on the actual Titanic, people would be allowed to tour all parts of the ship regardless of what class they're staying in.

I don't worship Lasseter, nor do I think he should be worshipped. But the facts are that he came in during an almost all-time low at Disney Animation both creatively and monetarily, with the goal of making WDAS relevant and profitable again. With the success of Tangled, it appears that is so. They ...

Because we all know Princess and the Frog's low-numbers had NOTHING to do with racism or the fact that the film itself is poorly structured and messy because of politically-correct meddling on behalf of the studio execs... Wasn't the film also released the same time as AVATAR? And Winnie the Pooh, ...

This seems like it's gonna be a lousy year as far as animated features are concerned. None of them scream Oscar worthy. Though chances are most likely Frankenweenie could be the winner. Curious to see if Rise of the Guardians lives up to the tour it's taking. I'm in the minority here but I think it...

Am I the only one not really bothered by the title changed anymore since the plot of this movie has gone waaaay off the course from the original source material that it barely qualifies to be a Snow Queen adaptation? At least Tangled was mostly Rapunzel with minor changes.

Batb - I would just add "If I Can't Love Her". "Human Again" was okay but the way it was animated for the special edition seemed out of place from the rest of the film. TLK - "Grasslands Chant", "The Lioness Hunt", "Rafiki Mourns" (all three songs as...

Yes, it’s clearly a beginning fad, as evidenced by all the other films coming out that are similar (ParaNorman, Hotel Transylvania, etc.). Everything comes back around in 20 years or so. It’s not a crime, of course, but Disney is as guilty of perpetuating fads and re-hashing as every other film com...

Disney's current dark/goth/moody phase

I've been noticing a major trend particularly with Disney's live action films that's headed toward a dark or moody style of storytelling with Tim Burton-ish style visuals to match in much of their current slate as well as their upcoming. Personally, I'm getting tired of it and Disney needs to move o...

There. I admitted it.
The soundtrack is really really really good. Then you watch the film and it's just so-so. This is how it was with this film and The Fox and the Hound 2. The latter is an awful film with a really good soundtrack.

While I wasn't completely blown away by the original film I still think it would be better for Disney to give it a small rerelease as opposed to a remake that doesn't guarantee any box office success. Even if the original was a flop at the time, it has since then become a cult classic so there's a n...

I think Brenda's vision for the mother-daughter angle would've worked if it was in any film other than Brave. I think the recycled concept of a defiant princess in a Disney film threw a lot of people off.

Well the hat does get A LOT of hate. So many won't consider it a total loss. If this allows the Chinese Theater to be the new DHS icon I'll be more than happy considering it's already in the center of the park.

I think that it's all a matter of coincidence. Back in 1994, Disney started releasing her movies in summer because they noticed they were getting strong enough to compete with summer-movies. That's why most of Disney movies released between 1995-2003 were released in the summer. However, in 2003, a...

Meet the Feebles (1989)

Peter Jackson's best work. LOL. I still love it for its dark comedy and the last 10 minutes of insanity. I actually enjoy this more than most Muppet movies. People say it's a Muppet parody but there a bits of homage in the film if you look close enough.
