I believe that Panasonic players cause a problem on the US release too, so it does appear that the manufacturer is at fault rather than Disney. However, until you get a firmware update, here's a solution found on the UK forum of Bluray.com Thank you for pointing this out to me. I was able to play t...

However, until you get a firmware update, here's a solution found on the UK forum of Bluray.com That Panasonic problem sucks - it bit me too. Turn off 24P ...

I don't know if this is already mentioned, but having bought the UK edition of Alice in Wonderland, I have problems playing the disc on my Panasonic DMP-BD30 Blu-ray player. I do not have any problems playing other Blu-rays like Bambi or Fantasia (all the UK releases). I live in The Netherlands and ...

Mailed Disney yesterday with the numbers on the data side of the Donald disc and got a prompt reply. They wanted me to send a scan of the invoice and wanted the bar code number of the Donald, vol. 4 set. I sent them a reply with the required information and within an hour or so I got another reply t...

The following discs were repressed/replaced by Disney as far as I know: - Both discs of the "More Silly Symphonies" treasure set ("Silly Symphonies vol 2" as some people call it), due to incorrect use of title cards, deleted elements in some cartoons that were readded and an inco...

Re: DisneyNature's Earth

I just saw a trailer of Earth (coming April 22, 2009 on Earth Day), and I was amazed. The movies looks beautiful! Who here is excited about this movie, and is it the same movie as Planet Earth on Blu-Ray? It is not the same as "Planet Earth" on Blu-ray. However, in Europe the movie "...

I still didn't have the time to watch DD vol. 4, but I suspect the non-widescreen cartoons on disc 2 are encoded as widescreen with the black bars on the sides encoded with them. This is perfectly correct. The stretching done with the cartoons on the first disc is actually incorrect: you are not see...

I have not seen any People and Places feature(tte) yet and as much I like to be able to watch them (as I was wanting to see the True Life Adventures) I don't think it will be suitable for a Treasures set. I don't know how many Peoples and Places have been made, but why not release these all at once...

Oddly enough.... I spoke to Dell about this as I also have to move my laptop. They said I need the wall plug converter-and that it doesn't do step down. They said that because its lower ampage, it works fine. So I assumed that it would all work ok on the same $10 plug. Is there something in the lap...

Re: Audio Goofy Telephone

It depends. If you want to keep the feel of film, grain is not to be removed. It is part of physical film reels and therefore contributes to the look of film.

Re: Good News For Tinkerbell Fans!

I know Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney have stars, so my question is: any other Disney stars should I know about? Donald Duck and Snow White also have their own stars (I have seen them with my own eyes). And before the entrance of the Disney Store next to the El Capitan, is a special star dedicated to...

What I've heard is that Europe was the only place that got Earth. So it's new to America, they're just repackaging it. Ah... that would make some sense then. So I probably will need to buy the currently released version to be able to have a complete Disneynature collection in the future? @akhenaten...

I have a question about the Disneynature film "Earth". According to some news posted on the main page of UD, this film will be released on April 22, 2009 (Earth day). But there is one thing that boggles me. In The Netherlands a DVD (and Blu-ray) was released by independent Dutch Film Works...
