Bought them at Best Buy today, but was charged $31.99 for each. Maybe they don't have the $24.99 price in their databases in stores. However, I just checked their website, and it says they'll refund the difference if there's a lower price listed on bestbuy.com, so I'm going back tomorrow to get my 1...

I think it made the scene more heart touching that the character sung the love ballad in the movie instead of a stranger. But Judy Kuhn did sub for Irene Beddard. It actually annoys me that the big stars are allowed to sing for themselves regardless of how they sound, but the lesser-known voice act...

I've always loved "If I Never Knew You" (yes, even the pop version), and I thought it was a great addition to the movie. The only thing that irked me was Mel Gibson's singing voice. IMO, they really, really should have gotten a professional to stand in for him, because Mel's voice just isn...

Holy fudge, I want a plush Mushu! I was planning on getting the R1 release anyway, so I might as well but it at TRU. Oh, for anyone interested, for some reason (either licensing issues or maybe they just made the video recently) the Japanese R2 release doesn't seem to have the Atomic Kitten music vi...

Just got my copy of Mulan II. Well, actually, I got the "Mulan Value Pack" which was released in Japan last month and consists of both Mulan:Special Edition and Mulan II. Briefly skimmed through Mulan II, and so far it's as Luke described in his review. The animation is more than adequate....

This one minute preview appears on the Mulan II DVD Oooh, I was wondering when you'd get your hands on Mulan II. Any idea when the review will be up? I thoroughly enjoyed the Aladdin II&III review (even though it pursuaded me not to buy them ;) ). Anyway, I thought Lilo's voice on the TV series...

Well, better to have an Emperor's New Groove series than one based on Snow White. No idea how they could possibly do a series on it. Kuzco had theoretically completed his transformation into a kind-hearted soul by the end of the movie. I also wonder if they'll be able to get the voice cast back. Dav...

Glad to see that you enjoy Hunchback. I, and many other people on this forum, are of the opinion that it is a underrated classic. You are right - although it is a little more 'adult' than most, the animation is breathtaking at times. I think it's underrated to a degree. I do like the darker tone, b...

Just a quick reminder that Gargoyles Season 1 is on DVD tomorrow. So far, the lowest price has been at Tower Records, $19.99. Anyway, fans of the show will want to know that, sales on this DVD greatly effect the chances of the studio releasing 2 and 3. The official site has said that the best way t...

I've gotta say, I think I'm actually looking forward to this. I'm sort of hoping they go for a more campy feel, because I don't know how seriously I could take the story when it has shaolin monks. Still, I'd prefer this over a Snow White II DTV.

I'm not sure where Mulan II was animated. Based on the knowledge I have, DisneyToon Australia is the only remaining of their studios. Australia has a couple of CAPS systems at least (I think at least one was sent over from Florida) so I would imagine it would be 1.66:1, the standard CAPS ratio. How...

Actually, didn't it say somewhere on the Aladdin DVD that Robin did 5 4-hour (or maybe it was 4 5-hour) voice sessions? Wouldn't that make for 20 hours of material? In any case, I think it'd be hard for me to sit through hours upon hours of dialogue, so a nice best-of clip like others have mentioned...

I was a little bit dissapointed that, through and through, Mulan is still considered one of the "weaker" films of the last decade Heh, I feel the same way too. Mulan happens to be my favorite animated movie, however, so I might be a tad biased ;) Still, I've always considered Mulan to be ...

Awesome review as usual, Luke. Although it doesn't sound like the end-all, be-all edition I would have liked, it still looks pretty incredible. Definitely looking forward to the deleted scenes (22 minutes?!) and behind-the-scenes stuff. I am disappointed, however by the apparent lack of voice talent...

I'll just say that I won't ever believe those kind of things in Disney movies. We know how Disney works. I mean, why would Disney bother doing those things? Unless they wanted the company to fall apart. How about The Rescuers ? It's not really a question of whether Disney would do it, it's a questi...

I've never been a big fan of the subtitles. Especially recently, they've been way overused. I'd prefer it if they just called it "Movie Name II/2" or just used the subtitle (like "Return to Neverland").

Anyway, are any of them actually worth it In my opinion, while some of the DTV sequels aren't too bad and are actually kinda enjoyable, none of them feel at all necessary. If you loved the original movie, I don't think the sequels will really add much, since most of them are just retreads of their ...
