What was the joke after the Ratatouille credits that makes use of live-action footage hypocritical? <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ow5Vf1T5h90&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen&...

Good. The way they incorporated live-action was just flat out lazy, hypocritical(especially after that clevers little joke at the end of the Ratatouille credits), and just shameless.

Wall-E is an overrated fraud of a film. I wouldn't at all be sad if it lost the Oscar. *crosses fingers*

"Disneyland Dream" Enters National Film Registry..

To begin with some actual news, James H. Billington, the Librarian of Congress, announced this morning the latest 25 films to be added to the National Film Registry, bringing the total number of titles on the list to the nice round figure of 500. The NFR isn’t meant to be a “best” list, but rather ...

Yesterday I picked up Nuke the Fridge : http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51Mf5WcGqdL._SL160_AA115_.jpg I got the 2-disc lenticular cover from walmart to match the 3 lenticular ones I bought back in May. They look good one the shelf together even with the 3 Young Indy volumes. For those of you ...

It would be better if one side would just licence out the rights to the other, or buy them outright. But neither side is willing to part with it (because it's a damn good character that can easily bring in a lot of money). And with Spielberg as part of DreamWorks, there's really no chance anymore o...

There was supposed to be a Blu-Ray release in Australia earlier this year. It was canceled for unstated reasons.

No current news so far.

1] Back in the various generally accepted "peaks" of WDFA, pre-planned trilogy films weren't really a done thing, even in the mid-80s to mid-90s despite such film series as Star Wars, Back to the Future and Indiana Jones. None of those (no matter what Lucas may say about Star Wars) were p...

It's now been over 5 years since I saw it at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. Loathed it, from opening act to closing act. Nearly every scene was absolutely appalling. A disgrace to what I consider the finest post-Walt Disney animated film.

Whoops, I stand corrected. I should've remembered that The Princess and the Frog's getting a November 2009 release, so of course Up would be a summer one. It does make me wonder, now, why we didn't get a teaser in front of WALL-E. I guess Pixar wants to be more hush-hush about their films from now ...

I always wait for a movie to come out on DVD, as paying to see it in a theater is a complete waste of money. The only time I go to theaters is on my birthday or if it's something I really want to see (yes, I plan to see TP&TF ). Why would you want to pay $10+ for a crowded, noisy room just to s...

Three: No Wilhelm scream? So that means the rumor is true that Ben Burtt won't keep using it? I think Burtt's tradition of using the Wilhelm Scream only applies to his Lucasfilm projects. I'm sure Burtt never said that every project of his would contain it; Munich didn't have it either. Although, I...

I really feel very little to zero sympathy for AIDS victims. It's not my fault they weren't careful about who they slept with. Now I do completely feel pity for AIDS victims from blood-transfusion, but that rarely ever happens anymore. We've gotten much farther with medical-care and are far more car...

You don't have to blow up buildings to be a terrorist. Blocking aid to AIDS victims both in the US and abroad probably sent just as many people to their grave as any terrorist did. I hope your having fun in Hell Mr. Senator; and I don't give a crap if that statement is in poor taste or not cause he...
