To my knowledge, Saludos Amigos is edited, and there are some parts in Fantasia edited out (which in the case of the latter, I didn't care too much about because I'm a hypocrite :)) That link I posted above should have more info if you want. And the complete list of animated movies on this site has ...

It is not just the widescreen though (they are actually presented in the OAR, as widescreen was not really happening in the 1940s). BUT they have actually edited out things, in the case of the Make Mine Music it was a whole section (Martins and the Coys), it also has clevage edited out. Cigarettes h...

Luke - Its funny how seriously disney takes things. You'd think that they'd want to make money no matter where the customers came from... :) You don't know the half of it! I'm studying IT law at the moment (I'm doing a law degree here - blah), and the way these large companies go after anyone with ...

Neither! Join the protest. Both of these titles have been edited by Disney to remove those things which are now considered "bad" by today's standards. To read more info on these edits go here: http://www.widescreen.org/commentaries/2001_04_apr.shtml I might be considered nit-picky for avoi...

Very cool! I hope we see this on the local R4 release...we tend to miss out on trailers like that. But Disney still find places to stick promo materials on their discs here too...just don't seem to be as many. And never the ones you WANT to see... Anyways - the DVD comes out in about 4 weeks here, s...

Let me know what you think of it 2099. I'm really curious about that film too. I might see if my video store has it next week (they are pretty well-stocked). I tend to make fun fo this film, but haven't actually seen it. But how can you go wrong with Christian Bale, Robert Duvall and Bill Pullman? W...

I don't think you are over the edge. I have a similar habit of my ears pricking up whenever I hear the letters D, V & D mentioned in their correct sequence. I collect comics as well, so it is always comforting to go into my local store and overhear the amount of money that is being spent on thos...

Re: I thought I smelt something fishy!!!

I am assuming that this is a sign that they will all be released in near future. That makes sense - because at least Disney International had plans to release (and possibly still do) Herbie Goes Bananas & Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo here in Australia in June. Mind you, this info seems to have di...

Looking good! I'm looking forward to that one. Lilo and Stitch has to be one of my favourite Disney films of recent years. I usually dislike the sequels, but dagnabbit if I can't get enough of that little blue guy. :) And let's not forget Lilo. The scene in the first film where she is explaining why...

Is the DVD Widescreen in Australia? I may pick it up cheap if it is, even though I have the (fullscreen) R1 release. I'm not too sure of the specs. I had a look on the main retail sites and it wasn't there. I've just discovered from the bvhe.com.au site that it was rental only from 30th April (but ...

It is refreshing to hear so many comments here that appreciate the scary parts along with the happy. I have read so many reviews (by parents especially) that have unfairly said the movie was "too scary" or perhaps more disturbingly "too weird and different". I think it is great t...

Although I thought the preview for 'Pirates' that I saw was very cool (and I think I will go and see it), I have to laugh now every time I see the poster for that or Haunted Mansion. Are Disney going to make a film out of every attraction at Disneyland? First 'Country Bears' (which went direct to vi...

Ok, I've recieved the Share the Love discount (many thanks to MagicBoy). I just have a few questions: Firstly, I assume I just have to ORDER the box within the next 7 days to receive the discount (as it doesn't come out until October...). Secondly, who do I send the love onto now? I assume it would ...

I have to admit. I have a soft spot of LK2. I usually run from the sequels, but I am caught in that weird nexus (i.e. don't like the DTV sequels, but must own everything that has the words 'Disney DVD' on it...). If LK2 is re-released, will probably buy it though. As I said, I have a soft spot and I...

To be honest, I'm just glad this film (and the others slated) WILL be coming out at some stage on DVD.
I used to worry about the bells and whistles, but in the end it is the movie that is the main thing (which is presumably on there too :D )
Can't wait for it to come out now...
