I loved Batman Begins, but I did walk away with minor complaints. The same can't be said for Spider-Man 2, which was wholly satisfying.

Without a doubt, Batman Begins. This movie rocked in every place Spiderman failed. While Spiderman has some very strong action and humor, the drama just never feels right. The same can't be said about The Bat-Man. Everything there is in perfect balance. Perfect acting, amazing villians, awesome explinations for the birth of the bat. And the climax of the movie, WOW!

Spider-man 2
I feel this title rightly belongs to X2: X-men United, but oh, well. Spider-man 2 was a near-perfect movie, while Batman Begins was lacking in a truly dynamic villain or an interesting love interest. As a lifelong Batman fan, this movie could have been so much better. Sorry, Timon! You know we're buds, but I take my Superhero movies seriously!

That's funny. On the 2004 movie survivor, your said that you were "never amazed" by Spider-Man films. I guess you really didn't like Batman. But what about Liam Neeson? He made an excellent villian!Raydawggie wrote:Spider-man 2

Too little screen-time. For both he and Cillian Murphy. They should have stuck with one or the other. Unlike the villains in the Spider-man movies, he had to share screen time with too many other characters. I just never felt he was really that effective. I did like the last minute reveal. I wasn't blown away by the Spider-man movies, but I just thought they had less flaws than Batman Begins.Timon/Pumba fan wrote:That's funny. Well everyone is entitled to their own opinions but I liked the amount of characters. Both villians were both frightening in a way and I liked seeing both of them in the same movie. Plus you gotta love car-scenes! When I saw that scene I said to myself, "WOW! It's even better than Spider-Man"! While yes BB is much more darker than Spider-Man, the story is really much better developed than Spider-Man IMO. What's interesting is I never was a fan of Batman until I saw this movie. Now I'm interested in the whole franchise! I will agree with you about the romance though. You never really got interested if they really got together in the end. However you wanted Peter Parker(a.ka. Spider-Man) to get the girl in the end. However aside from the weak romance, Batman Begins has a really intriguing dark story with great villians and action scenes. 9/10
