tdickensheets, Please do not make multiple posts within minutes of yourself. Also, please try to start your threads in the proper places. I have moved your thread, fixed your title, and I have combined your triple post into a single post.
I think you need to take a look at the forum rules and guidelines here.
One other thing, I've moved this thread to Disney Discussion, since it has the potential to spark a Disney discussion. However, if no real discussion develops in this topic, I will move it to Polls and Games. I'll give it a day or so before deciding if it needs to be moved again.

they wont, and shouldn't just put any ol toy in these movies. in case you haven't noticed, the toys that are in them are ones that don't really define a specific time period. although nowadays no one really owns an etch-a-sketch anymore, they still try not to pick anything that will date the movie too much.
generally they don't go overboard with licensed stuff. once you do that it starts to feel like product placement.
in toy story 1 buzz rides a hotwheel on the track before attempting to fly.

hot wheels are in it. they have a track modeled after an existing hotwheels track. theres also cars such as the a scaled down version of the car Emily got out of in Toy Story 2 that even though they aren't technically Hotwheels, (since you cant get a good enough look to spot a logo) are close enough in my opinion.PixarFan2006 wrote:What about Transformers and Hot Wheels

legos are in ToyStory 2. you people need to watch these movies again. lolBelleGirl wrote:I haven't seen any lego building blocks or playmobile puppets! Two of the things I used to play with when I was a kid.

I agree with Kyle. Like a said in another of tdickensheets's threads:
I doubt many toys from a movie or TV franchise will appear in the movie - although there are exceptions, most of the toys that weren't created for Toy Story 1 and 2 seem to be classic, traditional toys, like Slinky and Etch-a-Sketch, etc.

carebears, madballs, teddy ruxpin? sure alot of us are familar w/ those classic toys...they're classic to us cuz they were our toys when we were kids.
timeless toys such as Barbie, mr potato hear, magic 8 ball, Etch-A-Sketch, troll dolls- yeah i can see why those are in the movies....they've been around since our parents were kids.
But other timeless toys/games i'd like to see in the movies:
Legos (as someone already mentioned)
hot wheels
Lincoln Logs
Rubix Cube
spirograph
crayola crayons
pictionary
perfection
operation
little people
power wheels
big wheels (as someone else mentioned)
snoopy snow cone machine
hello kitty
(i heard in the new movie Ken, Barbies boyfriend will be in it!!)
