I've got something totally awesome to share! It is not done by me.
This was done by a member I don't know well at another forum I frequent at. She did up her dorm door for a dorm door decorating contest. I've wished her good luck. This is absolutely marvelous. (BTW That's a container of Warheads candy in his right hand) _________________

Well, Halloween is over... and I am severely disappointed.
See, Halloween isn't that big of a celebration in my hometown, mainly because in Halloweens past some jerks used it as an excuse to commit crimes. One year it got so bad that stores had to shield their displays because they would actually get on horses, pretend they were the horsemen of the apocalypse and started creating chaos in town.
Because of that, people are very reserved, and the celebration of Halloween has been banned from all schools. No parties, no pranks, no costumes, no decorations, NOTHING.
My university did have some Halloween parties, and they were incredibly awesome. But haven't been doing them in the past few years. When I was president of the English club I suggested doing a Halloween Party in 2006, but half of the members refused due to religious issues...
And speaking of which, there's also the religious issue. As you may know, Halloween is seen as a pagan celebration of the occult. Because of this, many refuse to even acknowledge it. So take into consideration these issues and you understand why I would be disappointed.
Its why I love Christmas a lot more. I can fully celebrate Christmas and people won't give a crap. But if I even pull out a pumpkin I am calling forth Satan...

As usual, Halloween has come and gone. I still have a ton of candy to eat and I did not get to watch all of the movies I planned on such as the first Evil Dead, Alien and Werewolf of London (The disc for it did not work), but overall, it was okay.
Now only two more months of 2009 to go. I am really looking forward to Christmas (as I always do). _________________

Same here, I didn't even make a dent in the amount of movies I planned on watching, but I'm really looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas. _________________ UDer #3495
That's a great door decoration, Sky! Thanks for sharing it with us!
Halloween was pretty good for me. It was a rainy night, and sometimes even poured now and then, but we still got about 58 kids which I was surprised by with the rain. It's a bit less than we had last year, but I was still happy with how many we got. Halloween day was rather busy, with me setting up the stereo system outside, the cobwebs, and the other stuff, but it all made it worthwhile when we got comments from others about our display. One little girl said "I like that spooky house!" which really just made me smile.
Here's a quick video of the display. It's rather dark, but it gives you an idea. I couldn't quite capture the figure in our window right or how the fog looked, but everything else came out okay.

I agree with that little girl. Your tombstones are quite clever, too!
I wish my neighbors went all out on decorating like you. Then again, my neighbors didn't do anything but did put up their Christmas lights.
I love your music too!
Here is my costume, I'm the one on the right. And yes, my friend to the left is Totoro! The trick o treaters thought she was a huge kitty.
And heeeeerrrrreeee's.....Carl!
Siren, you did a fabulous job on your daughter's costume! I wouldn't be surprised if one rolled up her sleeves would find furry arms.[/img] _________________
Thank you, magicwands! And I'm glad you liked the soundtrack too. It's my own mix I made that runs about an hour long. I posted it else too in the youtube video thread if you'd like to hear it.
Btw, great costume! I always admire others who can make their own costume. _________________ -Tim
My daughter in front of the Haunted Mansion....no touch ups or photoshop done. The light in the eye is the reflection from her glasses due to the camera flash. The fog is the fog from the mansion. I actually doubted this picture would come out at all due to the poor lighting, my crappy camera, and the fog. I was very wrong.

Wow, magicalwands, that's pretty interesting! That has to be one of the most original costumes I've seen in a while. It would be just too easy to go as a character from the movie.... I'm sure no one else dressed "up" as the house! Brilliant! _________________ Hello, Neurotypicals! I come bearing messages of good-will from the mythical kingdom of Holland!

Thanks guys! I'm surprised I received so many compliments. You guys should've seen me Saturday night partying, I was bonking people over the head with my roof (on accident) and while dancing I lifted my roof yelling, "Raise the roof!"
But yeah, it was really fun to be an inanimate object. I have no clue how that works, probably because it was easier to make jokes.
Siren, I was going to be at Disneyland on Friday and Saturday last weekend. It would've been cool to see your daughter in her costume there, then come here to realize it was her! _________________

Hey everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween Here's a few pictures from Halloween night!
My dad and I (I'm obviously the one dressed up as Belle )
A few of my friends and me dressed up as some of the Disney Princesses + Pocahontas
One of my best friends and me at California Adventure for the Trick-or-Treat Party
And, of course, we took a few pics with the villains who were walking around. (Notice my one strand of hair that's fallen in front of my face, in true Belle fashion - that wasn't intentional, I swear )
