Goodbye Idol, Hello Star Wars?

I think that a Star Wars Land makes a lot of sense; Disney owns it, it's been around for decades, it's had a presence at DHS for a long time. The Idol show is an ok diversion, but Star Wars surely would be more exciting.

It makes sense, since they've REALLY been pushing Star Wars at DHS in the past year or so. The Darth Vader Si-Fi breakfast in particular seems hella.

I've mentioned on here before that I'd rather see them make a Lucas-themed expansion rather than just focus on Star Wars, mainly since I'd really like to have the Indiana Jones ride over here. But a just Star Wars-themed area would probably work just as well.

I'm not a Stars Wars fan (saw only the 1977 original which was "meh" to me), but I'm not a Harry Potter (never saw the films or read the books) fan either but I love what Universal Orlando has done there, so if Disney does Star Wars just as well, I'm sure I'll be pleased. I've never seen American Idol or done the attraction at DHS so I won't miss it. I liked Superstar Television back in the day, though!

You'd love the books. I thought I wouldn't like it and someone kept saying to read the books and I started reading and love them. I'm on book 5 right now.

Oh man, I really hope that's not true. The Indiana Jones show is the best one at DHS after Muppetvision 3D. It'd also be disturbingly ironic to see them replace a Lucas-based attraction for more Lucas material.

I think that Star Wars land is more better than Idol!

My opinion on this matter is that the Frozen Sing-Along will be retooled and moved to the American Idol theater.

Star Wars expansion is totally happening, no doubt about that, but I think its going to start around the Star Tours area and go back further into the park. Original rumor a year or so ago mentioned Streets Of America, Muppets, Backlot and Honey I Shrunk The Kids being torn out for it. Plans will change a million times for it, no doubt, but they will definitely get more room for the expansion going further into the park verses starting SWLand right at the front.

The only good thing about the AI Experience, was that it was a good spot to watch the parade (which is also no more at Hollywood Studios).

This article says that the parks' SW presence will be from the new movies:

But this one says it will be a mix:
