This thread has been set up to discuss the newly-posted 2005-06 Animated Films Preview, which looks ahead to Pixar's Cars, and Disney's direct-to-video films Kronk's New Groove and Leroy & Stitch.

Cars looks really great. Kronk's new groove looks funny. Leroy and Stitch I still think it's kinda weird.

I'm excited about "Cars"! I don't see why everyone is saying, "Oh this looks like Pixar's worst" when all we saw was a 2 minute preview that showed nothing. I thought this and the preview looked great! :D

When I saw the trailer for Cars, I thought "This might get a little boring.." because, well, nascar and all that car racing stuff bores me. And I didn't find the preview very funny..but I have faith in Pixar.

Ok:

Cars: Is just as I thought...lame-o to me...

Kronk´s new groove:

Just one question:does it part of the Emperor´s new groove story line(sequel or prequel) or just a side-story?

and what about Bambi and the Great Prince!??!?!

Is Leroy & Stitch really nessescary? I like Lilo & Stitch and all but all this franchise is annoying me a little. They have a TV show, two direct sequals, and another direct to video sequal on the way. I just think they should bring down the hype a little bit.

Cars kinda remind me of those old chevron commercials. You know with the talking cars? Doesn't anyone agree?

I'm biting my lip for Cars whether this will be a good movie. But Pixar has not disappointed me yet. :)

Here is the French cover for Kronk's New Groove (note that in French the title is Kuzco2: King Kronk), the US will probably get the same cover:

I'm not overly excited about too much coming out int he next year for animation. 'Cars' looks enjoyable but I'm not too excited about it right now. 'Leroy & Stitch' looks a little more enjoyable. I have always thought that the first movie and TV show were good but not my favourites but lately I have been catching more episodes of the Tv show and it's a lot of fun. I think it's the only Disney cartoon in recent years I could really get into and if it was made in the early 90's or 80's I would be so attached to it. I don't think they are going overboard with whole Stitch franchise but others may disagree.

I think 'Kronk's New Groove' looks the most interesting. I have no real interest in the show and the movie announcement at first had me... well feeling nothing. I just didn't care but now that's all changed since I read the plot... I love animated camp/nature tales. (like part of 'A Goofy Movie', Humphrey the Bear and 'Camp Candy'. It sounds like a lot of fun. :)

Not only probably, but definitely, since there's one point in the movie where you actually see the DVD cover.
