Disney’s #1 Animated Movie of 2005
Is Coming To DVD!

Walt Disney Pictures’
CHICKEN LITTLE
Deleted Scenes Including 3 Alternate Openings, Music Videos,
Karaoke Sing-Along, Game, And More Bonus Features
Complement Brilliant Animation and All-Star Cast

On Disney DVD March 21, 2006

BURBANK, Calif., January 20, 2006 –Disney’s #1 animated movie of 2005, CHICKEN LITTLE is coming
to DVD March 21, 2006! A fantastic world of breathtaking action and laugh-out-loud fun, CHICKEN
LITTLE
is available for the first time on DVD loaded with exclusive, never-before-seen features – deleted
scenes including three alternate openings, music videos from the wildly popular The Cheetah girls and
BNL, “Where’s Fish?” trivia game, karaoke sing-along and more. Boasting side-splittingly funny vocal
performances and a stand-out cast that includes red-hot star Zach Braff as Chicken Little, this is the
must-have DVD that the whole family will enjoy over and over again.

Disney’s first fully computer generated animated feature, CHICKEN LITTLE employs cutting-edge
animation techniques to continue Walt Disney Feature Animation’s legendary tradition of innovation,
memorable characters and great stories. CHICKEN LITTLE is a dazzling, visually brilliant film unlike any
that has been done before in animation, but true to Disney’s distinct filmmaking style, and the film
continues the proud legacy of Disney animated classics.

Zach Braff (“Garden State,” TV’s “Scrubs”), brings his offbeat humor and explosive energy to the role of
Chicken Little. Garry Marshall (“Pretty Woman,” “The Princess Diaries”) is Buck Cluck, Chicken Little’s
good-hearted dad; Joan Cusack (“Ice Princess,” “The School of Rock”) is Abby Mallard (aka Ugly
Duckling); Steve Zahn (“Sahara,” “Happy, Texas”) takes on the big role of Runt of the Litter; and Chicken
Little’s nemesis Foxy Loxy is voiced by Amy Sedaris (“Bewitched,” “Elf”). The film’s soundtrack boasts
new performances by such popular recording artists as BNL, John Ondrasik, Patti LaBelle and Joss
Stone, and The Cheetah Girls. Perfect for Easter gift-giving, CHICKEN LITTLE is available on DVD for
$29.99 (S.R.P.) on March 21 from Walt Disney Home Entertainment.

Synopsis:
Chicken Little (Zach Braff) caused big-time havoc in his hometown of Oakey Oaks by proclaiming that
the sky was falling, when apparently it was not. Now, ridiculed by Foxy Loxy (Amy Sedaris) and the
entire town, the plucky chicken tries his best to win the respect of his father, Buck Cluck (Garry Marshall).
When he leads the local baseball team to an upset victory, Chicken Little becomes the toast of the town,
but then he discovers… the sky really is falling! Fearful of once again being labeled crazy, Chicken Little
enlists his closest pals – Runt of the Litter (Steve Zahn), Abby Mallard (Joan Cusack), and Fish Out of
Water – to help him. Together with his hysterical band of misfit friends, Chicken Little must hatch a plan
to save the planet from alien invasion and prove that the world’s biggest hero is really a little chicken.

CHICKEN LITTLE’s story is by Mark Dindal and Mark Kennedy, screenplay written by Steve Bencich &
Ron J. Friedman, and Ron Anderson. CHICKEN LITTLE is directed by Mark Dindal and produced by
Randy Fullmer, the same talented filmmakers responsible for Disney’s zany 2000 animated comedy, The
Emperor’s New Groove
.

The sky is falling, the sky is falling. Wait it's just Chicken Little falling to DVD March 21.
I saw this movie at the theater and it was great so I have to buy it. Too bad it's not a 2 Disc set like Narnia.

Man, that is some crappy box art, you know for a movie that was no.1 for 2 weeks straight, they could've made a better case.

Wow, a making-of that descriptive has got to be at least 30 minutes in length! Great news, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually looking forward to every single thing this disc has to offer (including the music videos). The only thing that still bothers me is the terrible coverart. I mean, I'll buy the DVD no matter what the cover looks like, but they could've done better.

Instead of a parody cover, why not go for original artwork, like the ones on this site?

http://disney.jbug.net/Gallery/c45/index.htm

Looks like a great one-disc release.

Count me in as one of the people who are already sorely disappointed in this release, already. I had more fun with Chicken Little than I thought, and ended up liking it more than Treasure Planet, Brother Bear, and Home on the Range. With its solid box office take, I thought for sure this would get a meaty release. This means either a) Disney's abandoned double-disc releases for new animated films (which is what they originally intended on doing when Lilo & Stitch came out) or b) Disney's turned into Fox(y Loxy) and will shake a shiny new edition in our face next year. I also agree that the cover art is horrible. It doesn't represent the film at all, and where the heck is Abby Mallard? Having the principal cast in individual sky octagons (like in the "Shake Your Tail Feather" music video) would've been much more pleasing. I hope this doesn't mean Disney will be pulling the same kind of crap with Pixar DVDs.

For me Disney stoppped the Animated Classics with "yuck" Home on the Range.

I haven't watched the movie yet but it has to be GREAT (and the ones following) if Disney expects me to buy anymore of their movies.

Well, being one who really liked this movie(but I also liked "Home on the Range"! Razz) I'm also very disappointed.

I guess 17 minutes of "Making Of" Featurette isn't totally disaterous, but I'm pretty sure the filmmakers could explain how they made the story for more than just 2 mintues!

And of course, not to mention all the stuff they left out! Like, a commentary, art galleries, a main documentary on the film, a publicity section etc.

Really sad indeed! Especially for Disney's biggest grossing animated film since "Lilo and Stitch".

Well it does come with Deleated Scenes which are always cool! And the "One Little Slip" music video seems worth viewing(that other music video will never get seen by my eyes EVER though) but aside from that this DVD has nothing!

Oh well!

That's funny! Weren't you and "Entertainment Weekly's slave"(a.k.a Prince Eric) bashing dvdjunkie all because he posted negative opinions on the Ghibli films and you both said that he should only post on press releases about films he likes!

Well good luck with that, because if you're expecting Pixar like storytelling, then you'll be savintg you some money.

It's just a fun simple movie that doesn't try to ascend to great heights.

I'm not all that surprised for the lack of a two-Disney edition or even meatier extras on the DVD (audio commentary, for example). Considering how micro-managed this production was, how many changes to the story were made to please Eisner and the executives, I wouldn't be shocked if Disney didn't want us to learn much about the behind-the-scenes stories of the film.

Isn't this Disney's 45th Animated Classic? Why don't they advertise it as such, especially since it's done better than every animated classic since Lilo & Stitch?

Personally, I loved this movie. I thought it stepped up to the plate and was great for Disney's first official CG on their own. I can't wait for the DVD to be released.

Speaking of the subject, what is Disney's 46th Animated Classic going to be - Meet the Robinsons? Do you think they'll make a big deal for their 50th, or aren't they keeping track anymore?

Thanks!

I totally agree! I am one of those "impulse" buyers that will blind-buy movies just based on whether I like the case or not. They should have invested a few extra bucks and developed this on a little bit more. I don't like it at all.

Maybe they'll have a slip-cover on it with a different picture? One can only hope....

I don't care much for the cover but I don't keep the majority of my DVD cases anyway. I won't be buying the movie as I can recommend it to my parents for my twin sons birthday in May.

Here I was thinking "Oh good, more substantial than it seemed'.

But alas, alack.

I've got the US on order, only because the Aussie version will probably have the altered Mark Mitchell voice.

Well, you never know. If I recall correctly, the commentary for the HotR DVD wasn't announced in the press release, so I wouldn't count it out just yet. However, I wouldn't get my hopes up, either.

But dammit, I'm getting tired of the theatrical trailers' constant absence on the recent DVDs. Apparently, trailers have become "platinum-only" material, which I don't agree with.

It looks like this is for the Free Chicken Little Preview disc being given out with any Disney DVD purchase from Woolworths in the UK, not the actual film DVD.

Remember, the film hasn't even hit our cinemas yet!
