FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Disney’s Delightful Sequel To The Beloved Classic ‘Lady & The Tramp’
LADY & THE TRAMP II:
SCAMP’S ADVENTURE
2006 EDITION FEATURES NEW BONUS
“JUNKYARD GAMES” & DISNEY SONG SELECTION
BURBANK, Calif., March 10, 2006 – From the impeccable pedigree of Walt Disney’s beloved classic
“Lady And The Tramp” comes the hit sequel Lady And The Tramp II: Scamp’s Adventure, told with the
same stunning animation, charming musical style and purebred fun, on DVD June 20 from Walt Disney
Home Entertainment. This doggoned delightful edition features new bonus “Junkyard Games” and
Disney Song Selection, plus other entertaining bonus features. Lady And The Tramp II: Scamp’s
Adventure is one of the top-selling Disney Video Premieres of all time, and has not been available for
over two and a half years. Available from the Disney Vault for $29.99 (S.R.P.) on DVD.
Lady And The Tramp II: Scamp’s Adventure introduces a new group of irresistible characters and
reunites audiences with beloved characters from the original, including Lady, Tramp, Jock and Trusty.
Now a happy couple, Lady and Tramp busily raise their well-behaved puppies, except for mischievous
Scamp, who’s always in the doghouse. Longing for freedom, Scamp ventures far from home and meets
a lovely, reluctant stray named Angel. She introduces him to the Junkyard Dogs, led by streetwise
Buster. When Buster challenges Scamp to the ultimate test of a collar-free life, Scamp finds himself torn
between a world of adventure and love for the family he’s left behind. This irresistible, heartwarming
“tail” presents a whole new breed of Disney magic. Scott Wolf (TV’s “Everwood”) and Alyssa Milano
(TV’s “Charmed”) lead a sparkling cast that includes Jodi Benson (“The Little Mermaid”), Chazz
Palminteri (“Running Scared” ), Bronson Pinchot, Jeff Bennett (“Curious George”), Cathy Moriarty
(“Analyze That”) and Hollywood legend Mickey Rooney.
Bonus Features
• Disney Song Selection (new)
Viewers can sing along with five musical song scenes from the film, as decorative lyric titles pop
up on screen.
• Junkyard Games (new)
By playing three junkyard games – “Ball Bounce,” “Boot Toss” and “Tin Can Pyramid,” players
can build a fun “Dogcatcher Catcher” contraption. Once they complete the contraption, it’s time
to catch the dogcatcher.
• Hide & Seek Game
Players of all ages are invited to help Tramp find his son Scamp and the Junkyard Dogs.
• The Making of Lady & The Tramp II: From Tramp to Scamp
Rare archival footage of Walt illuminates how the classic film inspired the sequel.
• Audio Commentary From The Filmmakers
Commentary from Director Darrell Rooney, Co-Director/Producer Jeannine Roussel and Director
of Animation Steve Trenbirth.
• Three Classic Disney Bonus Shorts
“Pluto, Jr.,” ”Bone Trouble” and “Pluto’s Kid Brother.”
With music and lyrics by legendary award-winning composers Melissa Manchester (1982 Grammy-
Award winner, Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female, “You Should Hear How She Talks About You”) and
Norman Gimbel (Academy Award®-winner, 1980, Best Song, “It Goes Like It Goes” from “Norma Rae”)
Lady And The Tramp II: Scamp’s Adventure contains heartwarming ballads and show-stopping,
finger-popping tunes, set to a spirited, contemporary beat. This musically-charged animated feature
includes the songs “Welcome Home,” “Junkyard Society Rag” and “I Didn’t Know I Could Feel This Way”
among its sensational songs. As a tribute to the memorable music of the original film, the end credits
features a stirring rendition of “Bella Notte” performed by pop stars Joy Enriquez and Carlos Ponce.
Mirroring the superb animation and quality of “Lady And The Tramp,” directors and animators for the
sequel used many of the layouts from the original film as references to seamlessly recreate and match
the film’s background and objects. For audiences of all ages to enjoy, Lady And The Tramp II:
Scamp’s Adventure puts a new twist on one of the most memorable romantic scenes in movie history:
Scamp and Angel follow in the “paw” steps of Lady and Tramp, where they share a plate of spaghetti in
their own unique style.
Screenplay by Bill Motz and Bob Roth. Directed by Darrell Rooney and co-directed/produced by
Jeannine Roussel.

MMP - You ask how can it be a best seller?
Remember it was out a few years ago and it did sell well because of all the publicity for it. Trailers on several releases and lots of pre-promotion got this one flying off the shelves. I am not sure of the numbers, but it sold enough to be considered a best seller.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the worldwide TURNOVER (not profits) for Scamp's Adventure was over 1/2 billion dollars.
That's a whole lotta moolah! _________________ "I sent you back into the void. I saved the whole of reality from you. I am the Doctor, and you are the DALEKS!"

Don't mind that cover art at all!
I have the previous LATT2 edition, and some games and sing-a-longs aren't really worth the upgrade.
However, the previous edition was one of the best single-disc sequel discs to ever come out, and I also think it is one of the better DTVs. Anybody who has completely dismissed the DTV sequel would be well served by viewing just how much work went into this sequel, as is evidenced by the commentary and the making of. Top notch stuff. _________________ DVDBits - News, Reviews and More! | Bitcast! - My Podcast |HKDL Source - Hong Kong Disneyland Fansite | Twitter - Follow me on Twitter |

Ditto. It's a much better produced disc than even The Lion King 2's 2-disc set, which was pretty fluffy itself.
I haven't had a chance to listen to the commentary yet, but the making of featurette is really well put, especially for a DTV (Bambi II got a 5 minute piece which is okay, but could have been expanded much more.)
I like the newer cover art. If I didn't already own LATT2SA, I'd buy it.

They are probably re-releasing it so you could have a new edition that can go with the new edition of Lady and the Tramp 50th Anniversary Edition. That's the only reason that I could guess. I'm buying because I didn't get the DVD before. _________________

I haven't seen this DTV, so as always, the UD review will be what helps me decide. Still though, a commentary and a making of? Very nice. The coverart's not bad either, but that girl dog is pretty darn strong to be able to hold a trashcan lid, Scamp, and a plate of spagetti using only her head! _________________ - John

Does this mean that we'll see a re-release of The Little Mermaid II come October?? That would be great! I really enjoyed that movie!!
I might pick this one up, though. I missed out on it last time, although I liked it fine. _________________

Well given the track record of other sequels coming out...
BATB - October
BATB EC - November
TLK - October
TLK 1.5 - January
TLK 2 - August
Aladdin - October
ROJ/KOT - January
Bambi - March
Bambi II - February
Cinderella - October
Cinderella II - None in R1, thankfully
LATT - Feb/March
LATT2SA - June
It's safe to say that TLM II RTTS will likely come out in January, not October. Of course, I personally would rather see the same thing that happened to Cinderella II (it gets re-released everywhere except R1), simply becasue TLM2 and Cindy2 are two of the worst sequels in the Disney canon.

No surprise there...
Maybe I *should* invest in some Disney stock. If every Disney consumer were as ardent and devoted as reyquila, I should be able to keep the stock for ten years years, sell it, and use the money towards buying more bananas for the eventual takeover of the planet by apes...
