Beauty and The Beast Sequels Coming To BD!!

Post by lighthousemike »

By far my favorite animated Christmas movie is finally coming to Blu-Ray.
In an insert that came with the Tangled BD i got today Disney says Beauty and The Beast: The Enchanted Christmas will be coming back to DVD and Blu-ray for the first time.

For me every time a new Disney BD is released is an event.

anyone else here just as big of a fan of this (in my opinion) classic?

Really? That's so cool!
Could post a picture of the insert? Oh, and if possible, from your Tangled BD too!

Hey, you're back! It's been a long time, huh?

I think this is great news since B&tB: EC is one of the better DTV sequels.

What about Belle's Magical World? Any news on that? I know it's not very good but I'd love to own the whole trilogy.

Also, could you post a scan of the booklet if it's not too much trouble?

and yes it's gonna be a combo pack blu-ray ala Fantasia and TFATH which are coming this September (no preview yet on this Tangled Blu-Ray sadly).

I looked on disneylicious.com and to be honest I couldn't find squat. I don't get the design of that site at all.

Yes, please lighthousemike, I'd love to see some pics of the Tangled package.

LOL...that sounds kinda dirty.

Ok, I registered on disneylicious.com so I could see the forum and all I see there is nothing but spam crap. I seriously don't get it.

Thanks for letting us know, lighthousemike!

I'd been hoping Disney would retire their sequels to the vault, at least until they could gain some respect as a curiousity of a Disney era long gone by, but I'll just accept it now instead of being disappointed.

I'll probably end up buyin' both anyways... :shifty:

I remember really liking Enchanted Christmas when I was little, but I haven't seen it in years; and I'll probably never watch Belle's Magical World. I'll probably pick up EC's BD/DVD combo, but I'll steer clear from BMW.

Thanks for the scan! :)

So, is it just The Enchanted Christmas that's gonna be released on a Blu-ray combo pack while Belle's Magical World will be released only on DVD or will the Blu-ray combo for EC include a DVD copy of BMW (like the combo pack advertised for The Fox and the Hound and its sequel)?

That's odd. On the French Tangled Blu-ray there was a trailer for the next Tinkerbell movie: TinkerBell and the Pixie Hollow Games.

oh yeah there is a trailer for the new tinkerbell sorry.

and you miss understanding

both BATB will be released as a combo blu-ray pack, just like Fantasia/Fantasi2000 and the September combo BD release of both Fox and The Hound movies.

Belle has no body below her waist! She is literally coming out of the hill.

I'm really excited to hear about this release. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite movie period, so I should definitely pick up the sequels. Plus I think the Enchanted Christmas is decent, and I remember hearing good things about the third one when it came out. If only Disney would bless us with a "Sing Me a Story with Belle: The Complete Series" DVD!

Would you mind ripping the trailer and posting it on YouTube?
lighthousemike wrote:You are misunderstanding.

Both BatB will be released as a combo Blu-ray pack, just like Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 and the September combo BD release of both Fox and the Hound movies.
I'm confused.

The Fantasia Collection had 4 discs: two Blu-rays and two DVDs.

However, the advertisement for The Fox and the Hound says it's going to be a 3-disc combo pack which will include one Blu-ray and two DVDs. So, the sequel will either not be available on Blu-ray or that the one Blu-ray disc will have both movies on. Which one is it? Will the same thing happen with the BatB sequels?

Yeah, this sequel mindset isn't going to go away if they keep re-releasing these things.
