The only way DIsney will get me to pay for a DVD in the "Princess" Collection is if they give us an animated feature will all all them together - and it has to be a real one, not a cardboard movie. Anyway, that, or they could put all six of the major princess movies (or eight, to be politically correct Laughing ) and put them and one big jumbo Gift Set with really fancy cover art. How regal...

Even though I've seen firsthand how incredibly crazy little girls will get concerning Disney princesses, I will never understand it. I can understand why Disney is pulling this quick profit maker - little girls convince their parents to wait in a 90 minute long line during the hottest day of the year to get a picture with Ariel the Little Mermaid. I am a huge fan of Ariel, and enjoy working with the mermaid, but I don't understand how you can stand there for more than an hour to get a pic and an autograph, when the line is so much shorter during parades - but of course, you can't miss the parade.

And it would be cool if somehow, all the princesses or some of them can form some sort of movie together...although there is the small problem of all of them being from different time eras and countries...maybe that's where Tinkerbelle and Genie come in. Smile

Anyways, I'm sure the dvd will be a nice birthday present for a seven year old little girl.

smiles,
Jane Mccoy

Not only that, but the art is different for each one. What would they do with the background?

Plus, a movie with them all together would almost definitely be stupid knowing Disney and all. Rolling Eyes

No, way I'm going to buy Disney Princess Collection in 2005 it's going to be almost the same things like the ones that were released this year.
Also this DVD is mainly for little girls. Also I would rather buy a season set of Aladdin and The Little Mermaid not just 2 or 3 episodes.

I wonder how they're going to manage making a second volume for the Sing-Alongs when all of the princesses' main themes were in Volume 1.

They've already used:

In another topic, Luke wrote:
"A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes"
"Part Of Your World"
"A Whole New World"
"Once Upon A Dream"
"I'm Wishing/One Song"
"Colors Of The Wind"
"Beauty And The Beast"
"Reflection"
"Like Other Girls"
"Sweet Wings Of Love"
"If You Can Dream" (the new song)

All that I can think of that can be on Volume II are:

Snow White:
"With a Smile and a Song"
"Whistle While You Work"
"Someday My Prince Will Come" (I wonder why they didn't include this in Volume 1)

Cinderella:
"Sing Sweet Nightingale"
"So This is Love"
The not-fitting-to-the-movie Cinderella II songs

Aurora:
"I Wonder"

Ariel:
"Kiss the Girl"
"Down to the Sea" (TLM II)
"For a Moment" (TLM II)
"Here on the Land and Sea" (TLM II)

Belle:
"Belle" and reprise
"Stories" (BatB: Enchanted Christmas; the other ones are too Christmas-y)
That song in Belle's Magical World

Jasmine
"Forget About Love"? (The lovey-dovey song in Return of Jafar)
Songs from King of Thieves

Mulan
"Honor To Us All"
Songs from Mulan II

Pocahontas
"Just Around the Riverbend"
Songs from Pocahontas II

And they may totally revise who is on the official Disney Princess list so they can add more from other Disney heroines:

Esmerelda:
"God Help the Outcasts"

Alice:
"In a World of My Own"
"Golden Afternoon"
"Very Good Advice"

Wendy:
"Your Mother and Mine"

Wow, that took a lot longer than I thought it would!

...And volumes 4, 5, 6.... Laughing These things sell like CRAZY! Disney is looking to step up promotion for them due to great response- they practically fly off shelves, even in the low-volume stores I work in. The VHS go fast, too. If they run out of songs, they'll probably start writing new ones and tout their newness all over the front cover. As I've said before, I don't really get the appeal, but then, I'm not the target audience.

The longest I ever waited was 5 minutes to take a picture with Belle at Disneyland last year. Laughing And I ate at Ariel's restaurant in California adventure and she greets the guests on her throne, Laughing so no wait there.

Is the Sing-Along volume 2 still due to come out in february? I was at my local Disneystore in the mall yesterday, and on the big screen in the back of the store I saw an advertisement for the new Princess stories and the new princess party dvds, but not the new sing along! I wonder if it was delayed! Rolling Eyes I also find it weird that there's still no cover art for it!

I really don't know. It's quite odd that this press release is the only mention of Sing-Along Songs Volume 2 that we've seen; not only is there no cover art, but no links to preorder or any further information. Perhaps it's been delayed, but there's definitely been no formal announcement to that effect.
