Well, there might even be a bit of a spark if there was a bit more info...

For this, I've been expecting a batch of those new Princess story-book "shorts" based on the Princesses' stories in "Disney's Christmas Storybook".

I'm actually looking forward to this!..........................have I gone that crazy!? Laughing I'm wanting more info, though. I don't really want one of other Disney Princess- Princess Stories DVDs with those bad shorts on them. Even if they are shorts, I want some creative ones with some good animation and above average storylines. I might sound stupid ranting about Disney Princesses this way, but I take this kind of stuff pretty seriously! Laughing And I know that that's sad.

Excluding Belle, what Christmas stories are there about the princesses?? I hope they make real animated shorts. I hate these storybook things on the Princess Stories.

Just so long as there's no Mulan material on it. They can try to shoehorn it down our throats all they want, but Mulan is not a princess. You want me to acknowledge Mulan as a princess, have Shang overthrow the emperor and take the throne.[/b]

It was weird enough when Mulan was included in the lineup for Disney on Ice "Princess Classics".

Like I've said before, the ancient Chinese monarchy was very different from European monarchies. This could be an instance where Mulan, an obviously important figure of the time, was referred to as a "Princess of China" in the sense where she was a looked to political figure. Of course, nowhere is this mentioned in the actual Disney movie, but you could just use you imagination. I would rather have Mulan in the princess line-up than Esmerelda, Megara, Alice, Wendy, or Tinker-Bell. Rolling Eyes

That's mostly what I've been doing. I can't buy this Princess stuff for myself so I'm showering my little 3-year-old cousin with it. Cool

At least Disney is sending out a good clean cut message as opposed to...Bratz? My Scene? B.S. Federline?

Back to the DVD, I doubt I'll buy it, unless somehow I turn into a 7 year old girl...

Erm...isn't that a church that we see in the background. I guess that's kind of a castle for God, so if Alice is heading there, that makes her...the Disney Princess Nun? Cool! I can't wait to see the Disney Princess line get religious! Razz Very Happy

Why is Disney coming up with this idea? I've never seen a Princess movie before. The Disney Princess came up with a film entitled "A Christmas of Enchantment". It features the Disney Princess from several of Disney animated classics. I always love animated films as well as classics like "Snow White", "Cinderella" and so on. It came out with accessories and stuff that aimed at little girls. I'm not super familiar of buying young women's stuff made by the Disney Princess. I have DVD's like "Snow White" and "Cinderella". "The Christmas of Enchantment" starring the Disney Princess is an animated film that it would add it to my Christmas film collection along with such great claasics that were not Disney like "Miracle on 34th Street" and "It's a Wonderful Life". Will see what happens.

They've resorted to CLIP ART? Oy. That overshadows the fact that "Wow, they FINALLY remembered that Ariel and Jasmine have princess dresses, too!" (Excited to see Jasmine's lavender gown and Ariel's pink one...we've still got "Cindy," the Cinderella imposter with her bleached hair and dark blue gown, and Aurora in pink, but eh.)

A little confused as to why Jasmine is on the cover of this one. And I heard that the album released to coincide with this DVD has Christmas songs by Mulan and Pocahontas...this also makes me go, "Huh?"

I may pick it up if I hear that Ariel's new vignette is any good. We'll see. I still stand by the fact that the Disney Princess characters are infinitely cooler, smarter, and overall more interesting than almost anything in the Disney Princess product line.
